Emma Álvarez Marty (2000, Madrid), es una artista, investigadora y activista franco-española que explora los saberes socio-natural localey el gesto como un archivo vivo para la regeneración medioambiental a través de la práctica artística.
Graduada en Bellas Artes y en Máster de Fotografía Artística y Documental (Universidad TAI - URJC), actualmente realiza un doctorado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y es profesora en el Máster de Fotografía de la Universidad TAI. Está igualmente involucrada en el activismo ecologista, habiendo formado parte de Fridays For Future Madrid (FFF), Proyecto Verde de Colmenarejo y Verdemorillo.
Desde 2023 es miembro y coordinadora de El Local, un espacio independiente para la fotografía y la imagen contemporánea en Madrid y coordina La Embajada (2024-), una plataforma independiente para impulsar proyectos creados en el contexto del territorio español dentro del circuito no oficial del Festival Rencontres d´Arles en Francia.

Emma Álvarez Marty (2000, Madrid) is a French-Spanish artist, researcher and activist who explores local socio-natural knowledge and gesture as a living archive for environmental regeneration through art.
Graduated in Fine Arts and Master in Artistic and Documentary Photography (TAI University - URJC), actually she is a PhD in Fine Arts by the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and is a teacher on the Master's Degree in Photography at TAI University. She is also involved in environmental activism, taking part as a member of Fridays For Future Madrid (FFF), Proyecto Verde of Colmenarejo and Verdemorillo.
Since 2023 she is a member and coordinator of El Local, an independent space for photography and the contemporary image in Madrid and coordinates La Embajada (2024-), an independent platform to showcase projects created within the Spanish territorial context in the unofficial circuit of the Rencontres d'Arles Festival in France.
